The song, ‘Joy’, which dropped on Friday, August 30, on all digital platforms is expected to deliver the desired grammys to Nigeria’s top Afrobeats star.
Announcing the release of the single during the week, the fifth-time Grammy Award winner, Angelique Kidjo, said that she resonates with the music title and that joy is who she is. She extended her gratitude to Davido and hopes that the song can bring the world together for a moment of joy.
Davido equally acknowledged the collaboration, as he took to his Instagram page to express his gratitude working with the iconic songstress. “It was an honor working with the legend @angeliquekidjo on ‘Joy,’ he wrote on IG.
Meanwhile, like Kidjo’s previous award-winning songs, “Joy’ will not be an exception. The seductive single, written, performed, and produced by Angélique Kidjo in Ghana is another icing on the cake.
