The children of late highlife icon Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, have paid an emotional tribute to their father, reflecting on his enduring legacy, their deep sense of loss, and the bond they say still connects them to him.
In a heartfelt message addressed directly to him as “Father,” the children expressed the profound longing they have felt since his passing, recalling how he brought joy, unity and strength into their lives. They described him as the source of their laughter and resilience, crediting him with teaching them to stand together, never give up and embrace life with an open heart.
They noted that although his departure has left an emotional silence, his presence continues to live on in their hearts and daily lives. According to them, each child carries a part of him, his warmth, generosity and the memories he created, which now serve as a guide through their grief.
The children said they especially miss his voice and calming presence during difficult moments, but find comfort in the belief that his spirit remains alive through the traces he left behind. “His heart continues to beat within our doors,” they said, stressing that his influence will remain with them forever.
They also celebrated Daddy Lumba’s legacy, describing him as an extraordinary man whose discipline, courage and rare gift set him apart. They recalled how he rose above challenges to live a life that inspired countless people, noting that every individual he touched carries a piece of his story forward.
The children expressed pride and gratitude for being his sons and daughters, pledging to carry his story forward and allow his legacy to inspire future generations.
“I’m proud to continue your story, and I am grateful beyond measure,” one of them said, affirming that Daddy Lumba’s legacy will continue to rise, inspire and bless generations to come.
