I have never discussed Mzbel with my husband – Nana Ama McBrown
When musician Mzbel appeared on UTV’s United Showbiz last Saturday, there must have been many who wondered if the host Nana Ama McBrown was comfortable with her there.
This is because of the history between Mzbel and Nana Ama's husband Maxwell Mensah; they dated some years ago and the musician has not shied away from talking about it during interviews.
Well for those who wondered, there is nothing to be worried about because Nana Ama says she has nothing against Mzbel. Speaking with Fiifi Pratt on Kingdom FM on Thursday, Nana Ama said she had never discussed Mzbel with her husband.
“I don’t need to discuss Mzbel with my husband because it is not important to me. They had something to do in the past and I don’t see how relevant or prudent it will be for me to discuss her with my husband.
"I dated Okyeame Kwame in the past but Annica married him and I also married Maxwell who also dated Mzbel.
“Mzbel has not attacked me and I have no issues at all with her so that perception that I have something against her has to be erased. Having Mzbel on my show was for the betterment of the industry.
"She came over, we spoke and since then we have never spoken. Having Mzbel on my show was probably the fourth time I have seen her in my entire life,” she said.

Nana Ama continued that Mzbel broke up with Maxwell two years before they met, so she had nothing to do with their breakup.
“Everyone has an ex and there is no big deal. Some years ago, Mzbel and I met on set and we just exchanged greetings. I didn’t even know Maxwell at that time and since then we have not spoken. I don’t have any problem with any celebrity including Mzbel and that's the reason my show is always packed with celebrities," she added.
Talking about her show, Nana Ama said she calls all her guests herself because of the personal relationship she has with them.
“All the celebrities who come on my show never disappoint me because they know I am not here to say anything bad about them,” she said.
This week, social media has been buzzing over presenter Selly Galley's curses on a lady who called her ugly and barren.
She had posted her picture without makeup on Instagram when the social media user, with the name Henewaa_piesie2, insulted her. Selly didn't take it lightly and cursed the lady, a move which quite a lot of celebrities supported.
The social media user has since apologised but speaking on the issue, Nana Ama said she felt Selly’s pain because she had been there before.
“Selly reacted to the lady out of pain. I have wept several times because I wanted to have a child of my own. Pseople did not tell it to my face how they felt about it but I heard how Ghanaians wanted me to give birth after marriage,” she said.
Nana Ama also prophesied that Selly would give birth to twins. “I can feel it within me that God will give Selly twins. We should put ourselves in her shoes and support her with prayers instead of putting pressure on her and saying things will make her feel bad,” she said.
