Ja Rule: I recorded a song with a Ghanaian artiste but can’t remember the name
American rapper Ja Rule has made a surprising revelation, disclosing that he recorded a song with a Ghanaian artist over 15 years ago, but unfortunately, he can't recall the artist's name.
In a recent interview with JoyNews on April 1, 2025, Ja Rule shared the story while promoting the upcoming commissioning of a six-unit classroom block at the Nuaso Anglican Basic School in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
During the conversation, Ja Rule reminisced about his past studio session with the unidentified Ghanaian artiste.
“I did a record long time ago with a Ghanaian artiste, I have forgotten his name but this was like 10 or 15 years ago when I came over here. We recorded in the studio and it was dope. Afrobeat is really big right now,” Ja Rule said.
After Ja Rule's statement, Ghanaian artist Kojo Cue identified the mystery artist as rapper Tinny. Footage of Ja Rule and Tinny working together in a studio in Ghana has surfaced on social media, lending credence to the claim.(Read also (VIDEO)Ja Rule breaks ground for construction of classroom block at Nuaso, Go to school, talent not enough to survive —Ja Rule to GH creatives)
