Rocky Dawuni hosts 'Intimate Live' on Saturday
FOR ‘denying’ his fans a feel of him for a good while, Reggae artiste, Rocky Dawuni is all set to make up for it with a concert at Zen Gardens, Accra, on Saturday, June 18.
The concert dubbed Intimate Live Concert will see Rocky Dawuni give patrons a good feel of his music know-how as a two time Grammy nominee.
“I’ve been playing shows all over the world but I have not been putting the same energy in my home country.

From wide discussions on my visit to Ghana last year, it came out that it was necessary to build a strong following.
“The Intimae Live Concert is, therefore, intended to bridge the gap in the past years.
"Apart from that, it will also provide the platform for Reggae lovers to enjoy good Reggae sounds and performance from me.
“Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see me in my intimate setting with a full 10-piece band,” he said.
Prior to the concert, Rocky has been in Ghana this year working on various music and environmental initiatives including “World Ocean Day” beach clean-up exercise which took place on Wednesday, June 8 at Labadi Beach in Accra.
Rocky Dawuni lost the Best Reggae Album award to Jamaican Reggae icon, Morgan Heritage at this year’s Grammy Awards.

That is his second time at securing the bragging rights of a Grammy winner after his debut appearance in 2015 which he also missed out.
It appears, however that, the In Ghana hitmaker is not giving up yet on maintaining his enviable position in the Reggae industry as he has started working on projects for the year, including a US tour that will see him perform at the Skirball Cultural Centre in Los Angeles on Thursday, July 28.
Rocky Dawuni is also a songwriter and record producer who performs his signature 'Afro Roots' sound which is a mixture of Reggae, Afrobeat, Highlife and Soul music.
He has eight albums to his credit and his sixth studio album, Branches of The Same Tree was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in December 2015.
