Gospel musicians Akesse Brimpong, Kofi Karikari, Esther Godwyll and Yvonne Menz are among the artistes billed to perform at the sixth edition of the Western Gospel Awards (WGA) on Saturday, November 14, 2026.
The event, to be held at the Western Serene Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi, will also feature performances by South African gospel artiste Deborah McKay, Efua Black and SK Frimpong.
Organised by Prolific GH in collaboration with the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), the awards scheme seeks to recognise and celebrate gospel musicians and industry players contributing to the growth of gospel music in the Western Region and beyond.
The ceremony is expected to bring together musicians, pastors, media personalities, entertainment industry executives, corporate organisations and gospel music enthusiasts for a night of performances and awards.
Over the years, the Western Gospel Awards has provided a platform to celebrate established and emerging talents while creating opportunities for musicians in the Western Region to reach wider audiences.
The sixth edition also seeks to promote creativity and encourage industry players whose work continues to shape the gospel music landscape.
The evening will begin with a Blue Carpet event at 5 p.m., ahead of the main awards ceremony at 7 p.m.
With a line-up of local and international performers, the organisers anticipate an evening of music, recognition and celebration of gospel music and its contribution to the country's creative arts industry.
