Too much administrative confusion or the untidiness of democracy!

This is the closest I got to fashion a title for my gripe today. This is because there are so many things going on in this polity that some of us, either out of intellectual laziness and analytical imprecision, or mindless partisanship, find it easy laying it thick on the politicians. It is not even all the time that such critics can be called partisans of one political persuasion or  another, just concerned citizens.

I was inspired in this direction by a call I received after the Supreme Court bombshell of a decision cancelling the district level elections slated for last week, and the consequent loss of over GH¢300 million because of the decision of the court. The concern of my caller was not the rightness of the decision, but the effect on our local administration and at the end, the legitimacy of our democracy at all levels of the political leadership in this country.
