
EPA’s stolen Toyota Land Cruiser found by police, suspect arrested
The police have found a Toyota Land Cruiser vehicle belonging to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that went missing last week at Tarkwa in the Western Region.
A suspect named as Salifu Gariba has been arrested and currently in police custody.
He was arrested at Kukobila along the Tamale-Bolgatanga highway, where the stolen vehicle, bearing registration number GS 1845-23, was also recovered.
The police, in a statement, said he was arrested on April 16, 2025.
The vehicle went missing at Tarkwa in Western Region.
According to the police, preliminary investigations reveal that the vehicle was stolen at dawn on April 15, 2025 from the residence of an EPA employee at Budo City, a suburb of Tarkwa.
The vehicle, which Graphic Online understands was on an official assignment in the area had been parked over night in the residence of the employee, but the employee woke to discover that the vehicle was gone.
