Ghana’s Ambassador to South Korea presents credentials

Ghana’s Ambassador to South Korea, Kojo Choi, has presented his Letter of Credence to President Lee Jae-Myung, signalling the start of his official duty.

At the ceremony yesterday, Mr Choi, South Korean by birth, but who has now naturalised as a Ghanaian, said he was beginning his mission with full authority and a deep sense of duty.

“With deep honour, I begin this mission in full authority, dedicated to lifting Ghana’s light even higher on the world stage.

God bless our homeland, Ghana, and make our nation Great and Strong,” he added.

Ghana’s Ambassador described the moment as both personal and historic, noting that he was born the same year Ghana and Korea established diplomatic relations, a bond he said has shaped his life and now guides his mandate.

He also stated that Ghana was entering “a new era of genuine partnership and shared destiny” with South Korea as both nations approach 50 years of diplomatic relations.

Mr Choi highlighted the symbolic significance of his appointment and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening Ghana’s presence on the global stage.

“As we approach 50 years of Ghana–Korea relations, we step into a new era of genuine partnership and shared destiny.

Ghana’s story has always been one of resilience, brilliance and divine purpose,” he wrote in his post on Facebook.
