“I was indeed disheartened when I observed our future leaders studying under a tree in an environment which has distractions”, he said, adding that studying in unfavourable environment was a factor which contributed to poor performance of students in sub-urban and rural areas.

This, he said, pushed the company to construct a classroom unit for the school to ensure that the pupils studied under conducive environment in order to enhance good academic performance.

Besides, he said, the company would support children in the community by providing scholarships to needy, brilliant students.

Keep environment clean

The Headmaster of the school, Mr Stephen Adjei, commended KBS for their immense support to the community .

He appealed to the government and other corporate institutions to support the school by providing it with computers to make and Information Communications Technology lessons practical and easy to understand.

Mr Adjei also appealed to the relevant authorities to construct an overhead bridge or a speed hump to ensure the safety of the children when crossing the road to school.

Demonstrate corporate responsibility.

The Apadwahene, Osabarima Obenakwa Kwarifa II, who graced the occasion, called on authorities of the school to ensure proper maintenance of the block.

He stressed the need for teachers of the school to use the opportunity to offer their best to pupils and urged other corporate institutions to also contribute their quota to their various communities to reduce the burden on the government.
