Let’s work together to sustain peace, harmony - Veep urges Muslims and Christians

The Vice-President, Mr Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, has asked the Muslim and Christian communities to recognise themselves as one people with a purpose of uniting their front alongside the wider Ghanaian public in the spirit of love and good neighbourliness.

He further implored Muslims to continue to exhibit the values and teachings of the Prophet Mohammed for the country to consolidate its prevailing peace and harmony.

Essence of Eid-ul-Adha

Mr Amissah-Arthur made the call when he joined hundreds of Muslims of the Ahlussunah Wal Jama’a faith at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra yesterday to mark this year’s Eid-ul-Adha.

Ghanaian Muslims joined their counterparts from other parts of the world to mark Eid-ul-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice, which is the most important celebration on the Islamic calendar.
