Police retrieve Highlander vehicle involved in Adabraka gold jewellery shop robbery after arresting suspect

The police has retrieved the Toyota Highlander vehicle involved in the November 2024 Adabraka Gold jewellery shop robbery, as part of ongoing investigations into the high-profile case.

The vehicle was recovered on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from a suspect in the case, Abdul Samid Larry, popularly known as “Touch.” It was retrieved from a hideout at Ashaiman Lebanon in Greater Accra.

The suspect was arrested during an operation, while the Toyota Highlander, identified as a key exhibit in the robbery, was impounded for further forensic and investigative processes.

Police say the suspect is currently in lawful custody and is assisting with investigations as efforts continue to establish his level of involvement and trace other persons connected to the crime.

The police has assured that investigations into the Adabraka gold jewellery Shop robbery are ongoing and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that all individuals involved are brought to face the full rigours of the law.
