Registration portal opened for 2026/2027 national service year for nurses and midwives
The National Service Authority (NSA) has set Thursday, January 23, 2026, as the deadline for enrolment for the 2026/2027 national service year for nurses and midwives who completed school in 2025 and are due for national service.
They have four days to complete their national service registration after the Authority released the Personal Identification Number codes for 6,867 eligible nurses and midwives on Monday, January 19, 2026, marking the start of the online registration process.
Applicants are required to pay a registration fee of GH¢41.00 through Mobile Money on any network before gaining access to the enrollment platform.
Eligible candidates are to visit the National Service Authority website at https://gnsa.gov.gh/home, select the portal, and retrieve their PIN codes using their student identification numbers and date of birth.
Those eligible for registration are nurses and midwives who passed the March and April 2025 Licensing Examinations, also referred to as the minor season, organised by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana.
The Director General of the National Service Authority, Ms Ruth Dela Seddoh, made this known in a press release issued on Monday [January 19, 2026].
She urged all prospective service personnel to complete the process within the stated period.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana submitted the list of qualified professionals to the National Service Authority on Friday, January 16, 2026.
