SWESBUS honours Major General Osei-Owusu
The Chief of Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces, Major General Joseph Osei-Owusu, has been honoured by his alma mater, Swedru School of Business (SWESBUS), for his meritorious service to the nation.
Honours
The Board of Governors, management and staff of Swedru School of Business named the school's cadet and the rehabilitated cadet 'armoury' after Major General Osei-Owusu.
The ceremony was attended by traditional rulers, the Clergy and old students of the school.
Major Gen. Osei-Owusu, who completed the school in 1981, was presented with several citations from the school and his year group, acknowledging his successes, dedication to duty, sense of discipline, high moral and ethical values and laurels.
Pride
The headmaster of the school, Justice Kojo Frimpong, in his remarks, said the school was glad that its former student had worked hard and risen through the ranks to such high office.
He said the school was happy to welcome him back as a renowned and decorated personality who occupies a high and enviable position as the Chief of Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces.
He said his achievements made the school proud and were a testament to the fact that with determination and hard work, nothing was impossible to achieve.
He commended him for his exemplary values, which make him a role model for many, including past and present students of the school.
Major General Osei-Owusu thanked the school and the old students for the honour, saying it had inspired him to give his best.
