Election 2024: Low turnout in Tema
Generally, there seems to be a low turnout at most polling centres in the Tema West Constituency, where 134,611 registered voters are expected to cast their ballots.
The election is taking place in 283 polling stations across the constituency.

At the Tetteh Ocloo Adjei Kojo State School for the Deaf, which hosts six different polling stations, and also serves as one of the busiest centres during past elections, many of the electoral officers are just idle as people walk in once in a while to cast their ballots. The six polling stations have a total registered population of 3,254 voters.
As of 2 p.m., a total of 1,234 people have cast their ballots at the six centres at the school.
The situation is not different from the six polling stations that have also been set up at the Adjei Kojo TMA Basic School, which has a total voter population of 3,098, split between six separate polling stations. As of 3:38 p.m., a total of 1,399 had cast their ballots at those stations too.
Adjei Kojo, although a major flashpoint in the Tema West Constituency, has so far recorded a peaceful process.
However, a few ballots at some stations had some serial numbers not following in a chronological order.
The Municipal Director of the Electoral Commission, John Nunoo, told the Graphic Online that the EC engaged the party agents on those anomalies bearing in mind that it would not have any effect on the election process.
There was also a duplication of one of the presidential ballots of which the Number 60 was reported to have appeared twice and had since been recorded by all the stakeholders.
