Police on manhunt for suspect Mujaheed Suraj alias Mims

The Ghana Police Service is on a manhunt for a suspect, Mujaheed Suraj, alias Mims, who allegedly shot and injured one person in the leg at the Awutu Senya East Constituency in the Central Region.

The suspect absconded from the scene, leaving behind his vehicle, which is currently at the Police Station.

Police said an intelligence-led operation was underway to get the suspect arrested to face the full rigour of the law, and "we want to assure the public that we will surely get him".

There was a shooting incident at the Odukpong School Park at Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East Constituency.

The victim of the incident is said to be a driver of a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to an eye witness, he was said to have been shot by another party member who had given a warning shot to scare a crowd charging at him after an earlier incident involving two family members.

Narrating the incident to the Graphic Online, a journalist with an Accra-based radio station who pleaded anonymity, said the incident involved family members.
