Patrick Yaw Boamah: Okaikwei Central MP preaches peace ahead of elections

The Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Patrick Yaw Boamah, has urged the Ghanaian electorate to avoid any acts of violence during Saturday's elections.

He emphasised the need for peaceful conduct to ensure the nation’s continued development, calling on Ghanaians to make the elections a memorable and harmonious event.

"I believe we are all one people irrespective of our political affiliations, and we must show that on election day. Let us conduct ourselves well before, during, and after the elections," Mr Boamah stated.

Speaking to the media this morning about his expectations for the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections, the MP encouraged Ghanaians to prioritise peace throughout the process.

"I urge everyone to go and vote. If you have misplaced your ID card, you can still go and let them identify you by mentioning your name and presenting any form of identification," he explained.

Mr Boamah also appealed to constituents to vote for him and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

"I pledge to continue the massive ongoing developmental projects in the Okaikwei Central constituency and use my office to create jobs for the people of Okaikwei Central," he assured.

Ghanaians will go to the polls this Saturday to elect a new president and Members of Parliament. The newly elected leaders are set to be sworn in on January 7.
