He has, therefore, tasked Ghanaians to take active interest in ongoing projects across the country to ensure that they reaped maximum benefits from them.

Mr Opong-Fosu stated this in an interview with the Daily Graphic after he had inspected a number of development projects being executed in his constituency.

The projects include five community water projects which cost GH¢ 3.2 million each, 30 mechanised boreholes, rural electrification for 70 communities and 37 community health planning improvement system Community Health Improvement Services (CHIPS) compounds and Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) schools.

Mr Opong-Fosu also used the occasion to cut the sod for the construction of a GH¢150,000 clinic at Aboakyir Krobo and donated 100 bags of cement to the Dompaose community and 20 packets of roofing sheets for the construction of a community centre at Domeabra.

He also inspected a number of schools which had their roofs ripped off during a rainstorm and promised to assist them with roofing sheets.

Among the communities he visited were Japa, Dadieso Abreshia Nananko, Prisiso-Ataasi and Nkonya.

Others were Pawuako Babianiha, Agyakuso Nkyirifi and Aboakyir Krobo.

According to him, the District Chief Executive for Amenfi East in the Western Region, Mr Stephen Baidoo Acheampong, and the Chief of Japa, Nana Boakye Dankwa, expressed their appreciation for his visit and regular interaction with the people to know their plight and for the assistance he continued to provide for his constituents.
