The delegation, led by Kurt Edwin Okraku, chairman of FACC, also included George Ofosuhene, Osei Kweku, both members of FACC, and Robert Duncan, acting chairman of the Central Regional Football Association, was  to extend an official invitation to  the Omanhene and his people to participate in the event.

Mr Okraku, who spoke on behalf of the delegation, said it was very important that the FA Cup Committee officially informed and also discussed the organisation of the final with the custodians of the land to ensure their participation and success of the event.

The Omanhene was elated by the committee’s decision to bring the event to Cape Coast and as a sign of his commitment to the match, he in a comical fashion requested to be allowed to play 45 minutes each for the two finalists, Bechem United and Okwawu United.

He also gave his blessings to the committee and pledged his unflinching support to ensure the success of the event.
