Addo re-elected GFA vice-president
The Executive Council (ExCo) of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has retained Mark Addo as the vice-president of the association at a meeting of the FA's decision-making body yesterday.
Mr Addo's choice as second-in-command at the sport's governing body was in fulfilment of article 37(3) of the association’s statute which required the vice-president to be elected from among members of the Executive Council.

His journey to another four-year term as deputy to GFA President, Kurt Simeon-Okraku, began with his election onto the council during the GFA elective congress in Tamale last Thursday.
After being sworn into office yesterday for their meeting yesterday, Mr Addo received unanimous endorsement from his fellow council members after he was nominated by Dr Randy Abbey and seconded by Frederick Acheampong.
Grateful and humbled by the support, Mr Addo expressed his appreciation to his colleagues for the confidence in him as he reflected on his first term as a valuable learning experience, both for himself and all council members.
He called on his peers to continue standing behind him as they collectively strive to elevate Ghanaian football to a prominent position on the African stage.
"The reality is that we have made a positive impact in Ghana football. I will seek your support to back the president so that our football will be among the best if not the best in Africa," he said in an acceptance speech.
With the notable exception of James Kwasi Appiah, all the FA Executive Council members were present at the ceremony where they signed the Oath of Office and the Oath of Confidentiality.
