4 Garrison Indece Tennis begins today

Ace broadcaster and top seed of the Sakumono Tennis Club, Kwame Sefa Kayi, leads a crack team to storm Kumasi today to battle for honours in what is expected to become an annual ritual against host club, the 4 Garrison Tennis Club.

The four-day Independence Day competition, sponsored jointly by the Royal Bank and Access Bank, brings together both budding and veteran tennis players between the two clubs.

The climax of the competition would be a dinner dance, where the sponsors would be expected to make a commitment to the annual competition with different pledges.

The Head of Marketing, Research and Corporate Affairs of the Royal Bank, Dr Kwame Baah-Nuako, and Mr Richard Torku, the Northern Sector Head of Acces Bank, are expected to make policy statements on the day.

Sefa Kayi comes face-to-face with the president of the 4 Garrison, Samuel Ampadu-Kyei (Kyikyiss), in a thriller on Sunday.

Also expected to represent 4 Garrison are ACP Adusah Poku, Nana Attakora, Kwasi Dekyi, Kofi Otoo, Peprah Sarpong, Kofi Affum Baffoe, Alex Yeboah Asuamah, Ernest Antwi, Kwabena Asabere and Brig. Gen. J. Adu Baompong.

Others are Yaw Nimo Baffour, Maxwell Owusu, Major Festus Adangabey, Capt. Joseph Abduali Luri, Justice Edward Amoako Asante, Kwadwo Kyei, Dr. Kojo Ansah and Robert Tetteh.

The ladies team include Brenda Sutinga, Linda Oduro, Charlotte Nyamekye and Mrs Evelyn Addai Mensah. Salifu Seidu Abebe is expected to captain the 4 Garrison Team.
