They will face Cameroun in the final on Friday in what will be a replay of their Group B clash which ended 1-1 last Sunday.

Striker Samira Suleman's 15th minute header after a brilliant cross from captain Mercy Myles was the difference between the two in a highly tensed competition.

If qualifying for the semi-final was considered a lucky chance for the Queens who edged out South Africa by the toss of coin following their being tied after the group stages, they ensured their march into the final by guarding that 15th minute goal.

The resilience of midfielders Juliet Acheampong, Mercy Myles, defenders Janet Egyir and Hilia Mantey which paid off for the Queens in the highly charged up match as both sides pushed to finish on top.

In the end, the Queens managed to hold on to their slim lead and closer to their first AAG gold medal on their first attempt.
