The worlds of sports and entertainment once again collided at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California, last Wednesday for one of cable TV network ESPN's biggest events of the summer.
American rap artiste, Drake, the show's host, was given the pressure of leading the way and providing a steady hand for the night's festivities.
An ESPY (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly) Award is an accolade presented by ESPN to recognise individual and team athletic achievement and other sports-related performance during the calendar year preceding a given annual ceremony.
Among stars on parade included boxing icon Floyd Mayweather, Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova, Oklahoma City Thunder player, Kevin Druant and the US men's national football team.
