Taekwondo chief wants more regional clubs
The President of the Ghana Taekwondo Federation, Frederick Otoo, has charged regional executive members to manage and promote the sport in their respective regions.
That he said, was to ensure that taekwondo remained a national sport patronised across the country.

Inaugurating the Central Region Taekwondo Association in Cape Coast, Mr Otoo commended the executive memebers for setting up various taekwondo clubs in the region and urged them to support the national federation in its quest to register all taekwondo clubs and individual practitioners.
He hinted that the national federation would soon hold a course for referees and instructors and stressed the need for a closer collaboration between the regional and national federation to unearth and develop talents to win medals for the country.
The Central Regional Director of Sports, Kweku Abedu Wilson, charged the youth to be active participants in sports, especially taekwondo since it could mould individuals to be disiciplined in all aspects of their lives.
The Central Region executive body has Superintendent Jonathan Lamptey as chairman, Mr John Edumadze, vice chairman, Miss Jane Bekoe, secretary, Mr Emmanuel Gamor, technical director and Fred Osei Boateng, member.
