Zone C of the flagship tertiary basketball competition had four teams: UENR, Sunyani Polytechnic, Sunyani Nurses Training College and Catholic University College competing against each other for the chance to play in the last eight of the competition, which is set to take place at the University of Ghana on April 14.

The host institution made the most of the massive crowd by first beating Sunyani Polytechnic 34-30 in the opening game and followed it up with a 36-14 win over Sunyani Nurses Training College.

The undefeated run was put to the ultimate test in the final round against equally unbeaten side, Catholic University College, but UENR ultimately triumphed 49-24.

UENR’s perfect record hinged mainly on Point Guard Robert Fiifi Brew, who was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
