Acacia to leverage Enterprise Group’s experience
Acacia Health Insurance (AHI) Limited is to take advantage of the nearly 100 years of experience of its parent firm, Enterprise Group, to increase its client base from 30,000 to 60,000 in the next three years.
AHI is now a subsidiary of the Enterprise Group following a successful acquisition of Acacia Health Insurance last year.
Consequently, the company said it had already started discussions with some of the firms under Enterprise Group to benefit from its two million customers.

New strategy
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the AHI, Dr Dan Armooh, in an interview with the media at a forum by the Acacia Health Insurance in Accra on May 18, observed that the move was part of a strategy to grow the fortunes of the company.
“Over the next three years we want to scale up our number of lives from 30,000 to 60,000.”
“The main strategy is that we are now in the Enterprises Group because it offers insurance to almost two million Ghanaians and each of these individuals need health care,” he said.
Experience and expertise
Dr Armooh said AHI would continue to deliver first class health insurance service leveraging on the vast experience and expertise of the Enterprise Group.
With nearly 100 years of experience in risk management, the Group is a publicly listed, blue chip financial services company whose subsidiaries are each market leaders in their fields of life and general insurance, pensions, funeral services and property/ facilities management.
The Enterprise Group has also successfully exported its expertise outside the shores of this country, with a presence in The Gambia and Nigeria.

According to him, the company expects to churn out even more innovative and tailor-made products and services to provide its clients the needed advantage in life.
Improving the industry
The CEO noted that players in the health insurance space sought an opportunity to engage with the new management of National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) on ways to improve the industry.
He said the health insurance space was dominated by 14 firms.
Focus AHI
Dr Armooh said the Acacia Health Insurance offers a comprehensive medical care package to members, which include hospital consultations, surgeries, dental care, prescribed drugs and optical care.

He said AHI, the preferred Private Health Insurance Company in Ghana, provided services in over 500 hospitals, clinics and laboratories across the 16 regions of Ghana.
