Finance Minister outlines measures to stabilise economy in 2025 Budget

The Minister of Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, has assured Ghanaians that the 2025 Budget will introduce comprehensive measures to stabilise prices and the exchange rate, addressing key concerns raised by businesses and traders.

Presenting the 2025 Financial Budget in Parliament, Dr Forson noted that extensive consultations had revealed that volatility in exchange rates and inflation erodes working capital and hampers business planning.

To tackle these challenges, he announced that the budget includes far-reaching measures to be implemented in collaboration with the Bank of Ghana to effectively manage exchange rates and inflation.

Dr Forson stressed the importance of responding to the urgent economic concerns of the people, stating: "There comes a time in the nation's history when fundamental challenges must be confronted, difficult choices must be made, and a new course must be set for Ghana’s future.
