The Sales and Marketing Manager of Samara Company Limited, a manufacturing and distribution company, Dennis Kwame Osei, who was speaking to the Daily Graphic on the sidelines of the just-ended quarter four edition of the Graphic Business/Stanbic Bank Breakfast Meeting held last Wednesday in Accra, noted that: "We are very glad to have been adjudged the best oral care product of the year at the just ended National Customers Choice Awards.

For us as a company, this award goes a long way to tell us that our efforts have not been futile and that our customers appreciate us. That hasn’t been an easy journey," he admitted..

Mr Osei said not only is it an honour, but a “massive achievement” stressing that, "this means we are doing something right".

"For a brand which is less than two years, to be awarded the best in that category, it is quite an achievement. We are going to dwell on this success and work extra hard.

Greater heights

Mr Osei noted that winning is not a ticket to go to bed as an organisation.

"This award does not mean we are going to sleep; it means we have more to do as there are several eyes on us. This is a stepping stone to greater heights, this would go a long way to push the brand further," he said.

Subsequently he acknowledged that the feat would not have been possible without the support of stakeholders.

Boosting entrepreneurship

Mr Osei urged the government to provide the necessary structures that can help scale up entrepreneurship in the country.

He explained that this would help to unearth more talents and invariably boost revenue which could also accelerate economic growth.

“The government should support entrepreneurs in any way it can. This can be done through financial assistance or setting structures than can ease the challenges they go through. This would go a long way to help,” he stated.

Mr Osei further explained that individuals in the space also had a role to play in the development and success of the entrepreneurship industry.

"Entrepreneurship in Ghana is not an easy road to take. There are a lot of challenges but determination, focus and having your target in mind will get you there," he said.

Third time running, the National Customers’ Choice Awards Ghana (NCCAG) honours companies and individuals who go the extra mile for their customers and show excellent customer service, integrity and professionalism.
