UMB launches new media campaign

Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) has launched a new communication campaign aimed at building on the success of the bank’s year-long rebranding exercise.

Christened “We Value You More – You First”, the campaign forms part of the bank’s new phase which was heralded by the recent appointment of a new managing director.

At the launch, the Director of Marketing and Communications, Ms Yvonne Botchey, explained that after a year of successful rebranding and several initiatives aimed at providing greater convenience and exceptional service to customers, it was time to connect the UMB brand to customers at an emotional level and also make the company’s ‘You First’ philosophy more meaningful to customers.

“At UMB, our customers are our most valuable asset and this campaign will demonstrate this in ways that are tangible and meaningful to them,” she said, adding, “We all value something in life. Some of us value our children, our families, our careers. What we want to demonstrate through this campaign is the fact that we value our customers in the same way that they value the most important things and people in their lives.”

Earlier, the Managing Director of the bank, Mr John Awuah, noted that the initiatives undertaken by the bank over the last year were a testament to the fact that the ‘You First’ philosophy was not just a tag line, but also a commitment to advancing the interest of the bank’s cherished customers.
