The donation, which forms part of the company’s corporate social responsibility, is to support the medical bills of the boy.

Marcarious has been battling a kidney disease since last year, resulting in the removal of one of his kidneys.

His situation has robbed his family of any form of happiness as they have spent all they have trying to find the best solution to the ailment.

The father of the boy, Mr Mark Nutsugah said the contribution from Uton came at right time as it would help cater for payments for the baby’s chemotherapy, as well as drugs and other medical tests which would be needed during the recovery period.

“This amount means so much to us because I’ve been struggling to get him to go through chemotherapy. Sometimes, it even becomes very difficult to pay for test which cost as low as GH¢55. I also lost my job recently because I was spending a lot of time going up and down with the boy and this has compounded the problem” he stated.

The Country Manager of Uton International, Mr Issah Abdulai Afugu said the move was to solidify the company’s commitment to support people in its environment.

“The story of little Marcarious really touched us because we couldn’t imagine how a boy of his age was going through so much pain. This is why we decided to support him with the little contribution. As a company, we value the wellbeing of everyone in the Ghanaian society and do our best to support in our little way,” he said.
