Gospel artiste, Awurama donates to Teshie Orphange

The donation, according to the artiste, was part of activities to mark her birthday. It is also one of the activities preceeding  the launch of her maiden album titled, Aseda, at the Harvest Chapel, East legon tomorrow.

Wife of  the Member of Parliament for Nungua, Mr Quaye Kuma, Awurama Yorklyn Bonsu, told the Daily Graphic at the event that she believed God blesses people so they could be a blessing to others.

‘‘I am grateful to God for making me see another year. The Bible tells us that God blesses us to bless others and I felt that instead of going to the beach or just celebrating with my family, why don’t I reach out to the needy? This is my inspiration,” she stated.

Receiving the items on behalf of the home, Madam Janet Parker, the matron of the orphanage, expressed appreciation to the artiste and the general public for their constant support.

‘‘We thrive on the benevolence of good Samaritans and the home is very grateful for this kind gesture. I want to use the opportunity to thank Awurama and the general public for their constant donations to the home and for  ensuring that the children live in good conditions here,” she said.
