Asogli Te Za (Yam Festival) launched in Ho
THE 2025 Asogli Te Za (yam festival) has been launched in Ho amid pomp and splendid cultural displays.
This year’s celebration is on the theme: Together in honesty and purpose, we build a just, peaceful and prosperous nation.
The Volta Region Minister, James Gunu, who launched the festival, said the people of Asogli were accommodating and readily accepted other people into their midst, and that was suitable for positive expansion and development.

He mentioned the settler communities of Anlo-Kodzo, Anago-Kodzi, Kable-Kodzi, and the Zongo which had for year assimilated into Asogli without any friction and said that harmony in diversity was worthy of emulation by others.
The regional minister, therefore, entreated the people of Asogli to cherish and preserve the peace at all times for rapid progress.
Mr Gunu said the Te Za attracted people from not only the rest of Ghana but from other parts of the world as well, creating a bright climate for tourism and business.

The War Lord of Asogli, Togbe Adzie Lakle XII, urged the youth to comport themselves during the celebration to maintain the good image of Asogli before visitors from far and near.
Asogli is made up of the towns of Ho, Kpenoe, Takla, and Akoefe.
