Barosky is home! Government repatriates musician from UK, offers psychosocial and financial support

After weeks of heartbreaking images and public concern over his plight on the streets of Manchester, musician Barosky is finally back on Ghanaian soil.

The government has repatriated the musician to Ghana and is providing him with psychosocial support and financial assistance to help him reintegrate into society.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa, confirmed the development in a social media post, stating that Barosky arrived safely in Ghana last night.

According to the Minister, the Foreign Ministry fully funded the repatriation as part of its consular responsibility.

“As part of our consular mandate, the Foreign Ministry fully sponsored his repatriation to Ghana last night. We are also providing psychosocial support and reintegration financial assistance,” the Minister said.

The Minister thanked Ghanaians who drew attention to Barosky’s plight, singling out media personality Nana Romeo for helping bring the musician’s situation to public attention.

She also praised Ghana’s High Commission in the UK for coordinating the repatriation process.

The musician’s situation attracted significant attention after videos showing him living in difficult conditions in Manchester surfaced online, prompting an outpouring of concern from Ghanaians.

Several individuals and groups subsequently rallied around him, offering support and calling for his safe return to Ghana.

For Barosky, the journey home marks the start of a new chapter, with the government’s intervention now focused not only on bringing him home but also on helping him rebuild his life.

“We strive to leave no Ghanaian behind,” the Minister said.

If you want maximum Graphic Showbiz punch, I’d actually use “BAROSKY IS HOME!” as the headline and make the deck: “Government repatriates musician from UK, offers psychosocial and financial support.”
