Bawumia is who God wants as President-Efia Odo claims
Ghanaian socialite Efia Odo has made a bold prediction that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), will emerge victorious in the upcoming general elections on Saturday, December 7.
She took to social media to share her forecast, stating, “The next President of Ghana is Bawumia. Bookmark this tweet, give praises to God after the election. It is the doing of the Lord.”

Immediately after the post, a follower asked her on Twitter(X) why she chose Bawumia, and she responded, “ It’s what God wants”.
Efia Odo's unflinching declaration that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will win the upcoming presidential election has ignited a firestorm of debate online,
While some fans are cheering her on, others are accusing her of being bribed to endorse the NPP candidate, particularly when she had been a strong critic of the government in the last few years and even months leading to election.
She had also led a number of demonstrations including the “Fix The Country” protest last year. (Related articles on Efia Odo: Akufo-Addo has broken the hearts of Ghanaians -Efia Odo, Come back to Ghana if Europe or America is difficult - Efia Odo to Ghanaian migrants)
Efia Odo has, however, clarified that her tweet was not an endorsement, but rather a revelation she felt compelled to share.

“I didn’t say I’m voting for Bawumia; I said he’s winning the election. Even if I tweeted Mahama or Cheddar is winning, you would’ve said I’ve taken a bribe,” she responded.

Interestingly, Efia’s post has opened a can of worms with people digging up Efia Odo’s old and distasteful tweets about the NPP government.
In one of her old tweets on October 7 this year, she wrote, “Wicked Evil NPP”.

However, Efia says she’s least perturbed and wouldn’t be cowed into silence about her revelation.
“They can dig all they want, Bawumia will be president whether I hate NPP or not” she wrote on X.
