The Unilever Do More party held at the Accra Sports Stadium last Friday witnessed thrilling performances from MzVee, EL and Sarkodie in a manner that any such show will find it difficult to beat.

The party which also served as a launch pad for the new Rexona deodorant took off with dancehall artiste, MzVee, chatting up the audience with her usual charm. Her forte was singing in Jamaican patois and she did her best on the night with songs the fans were familiar with.

Rapper, EL came to public attention after the release of his single One Ghana and he demonstrated the progress he has made since then by spending almost an hour on stage entertaining and communicating with the audience.

While doing that, he brought on stage Lil Shaker, Morning Tee, Gemini and the Tonga hit maker, Joey B, to perform with him to the excitement of the crowd.

DJ Black had his own session and he was “wild” on the night. He showed once again that he was among the best in the country and on the continent when he played one hip song after another to the admiration of the over 10,000 crowd at the stadium .

Apart from DJ Black, there were other DJs who also did well to keep the party rocking and they included DJ Mic Smith of YFM and DJ Armani of Citi FM. They chose the right local and foreign songs that kept the crowd in the party mood.

The night was not only an event for musicians and DJs to perform and show their skills but also to activate the product being launched. Consequently, there was an unveiling by Mr. Clarence Nartey, through a video recording.

There was also the Do More Squad who delighted the crowd with a vibrant dance session.

Then came the main act of the night, Sarkodie. His opening act with his dancers  got the stadium fired up. With the support of  DJ Mensah behind the turntable, nothing could go wrong. The response from the crowd was so massive that Sarkodie did not have to put in too much effort into his singing; the audience sang for him.

He did songs from his Sarkology album as well as others he had done with fellow artiste, Castro,  and a completetly unexpected one from Shatta Wale.

The show hosted by Eddy Blay ended rather too soon, contrary to what  normally happens at such mega concerts.
