‘Widow’s Bay’, ‘The Pitt’ and ‘DTF St. Louis’ were among the big winners at the Emmy Awards, which took place on Monday in Los Angeles.
Many of this year’s trophies were handed out at the Creative Arts Emmys earlier this month, leaving the most high-profile categories for the main ceremony.
Matthew Rhys was one of the night’s biggest stars, making history after winning two lead acting awards — Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for ‘Widow’s Bay’ and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for ‘The Beast in Me’.
Jean Smart won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for ‘Hacks’, extending her record to five consecutive wins in the category.
Rhea Seehorn won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for ‘Pluribus’, while Noah Wyle took Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for ‘The Pitt’. Sally Field won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for ‘Remarkably Bright Creatures’.
The Emmys recognise the best in television from the past year.
