Enoch Boateng named among Top 50 Global Wedding Photographers
Ghanaian photographer and creative entrepreneur Enoch Boateng, Chief Executive Officer of Focus and Blur, has been listed among the Top 50 Global Wedding Photographers in the 2025 Destination Wedding Planners (DWP) Insider Powerlist.
He is the only Ghanaian to earn a spot on this year’s ranking, which recognises elite talents shaping the future of luxury wedding photography and storytelling across the globe.
The DWP Insider Powerlist, compiled annually by one of the world’s leading platforms in destination event planning, celebrates the most influential and visionary professionals in the global events industry. Boateng’s inclusion reflects his outstanding creative leadership, global impact, and dedication to elevating the art of wedding photography.
In a post shared on social media following the announcement, Boateng expressed gratitude for the honour, saying, “We're going global! Thanks to God and DWP Insider Powerlist for this amazing recognition. We are honoured to be among the industry's best! And to VIBEZ, you guys rock! Your endless support means the world to us.”
He noted that the achievement underscores the consistent efforts of his team to meet and exceed expectations through a strong commitment to excellence, innovation and customer satisfaction. “This recognition is a reflection of the hard work, resilience and focus that drives us at Focus and Blur. Our mission has always been to bring memories to couples and joy to all events,” he said.
Boateng’s success story is rooted in passion and perseverance. After a career that began in marketing and design, he founded Focus and Blur in 2016, growing it into one of Ghana’s most recognisable photography and videography brands. His accolades include Best Event Photographer at the Ghana Event Industry Awards for three consecutive years, Photography Influencer of the Year at the 2021 Pulse Influencer Awards, and Photographer of the Year at the 2022 EAwards.
As part of his vision to nurture future generations of visual storytellers, Boateng has also launched Eternity Academy, a photography school based in Ghana. With the powerful tagline “Knowledge is Eternal,” the academy offers an eight-week Wedding Photography Masterclass, designed to guide learners from beginner level to professional expertise. The course concludes with a one-month internship at some of Ghana’s leading wedding photography studios.
“The academy is not just about teaching photography—it’s about shaping visionaries, inspiring creative excellence, and sustaining the culture of storytelling through images,” Boateng explained.
His work has gained international acclaim, with exhibitions in Italy, Germany and Switzerland showcasing traditional Ghanaian wedding culture. In recent years, Boateng has represented Ghanaian creatives at international forums, including Facebook’s content creator summit and the Cortona on the Move photography festival in Europe.
Focus and Blur is officially licensed under Ghana’s Technical, Vocational and Skills Training (TVET) programme and continues to set benchmarks in both creativity and entrepreneurship.
As the only Ghanaian on the DWP Insider Powerlist 2025, Enoch Boateng’s rise affirms not only his personal achievements but also Ghana’s growing influence in the global creative arts and wedding photography scene.
