Prolific GH, organisers of the Western Gospel Awards have announced that this year’s fifth edition will come off at Western Serene Atlantic Hotel, Takoradi on Saturday, December 20.Marking its fifth anniversary, the organisers intend to make it attractive with a glamorous Blue Carpet session at 5 p.m before the main event.
The awards ceremony will also recognise individuals and institutions making a positive impact through their music, outreach, and social initiatives, highlighting their humanitarian contributions to community growth.
Gospel artistes from the region including Joe Beecham, Amy Newman, Yvonne Menz, Navah, S.K. Frimpong, and Ruger Quarm, have been publicised to perform on the night.
According to the organisers, the fifth anniversary will provide the means to reflect on the journey of promoting gospel talents in the Western Region and honour personalities who have used their platforms for positive change.
“Through this event, we aspire to achieve the vision of building a massive social - spiritual movement and community for all people across the country and beyond using music to inspire personal conversions, communal cohesion, social justice, and cultural renewal in the Western, Western North Regions and the world to ultimately make a positive difference,” Mr. Maxwell Bills Ansah, CEO of Prolific GH told Graphic Showbiz.
He expressed gratitude to stakeholders, especially sponsors, for their unwavering support, saying, “We're thankful for their commitment to this cause particularly when gospel events suffer to get sponsorship. We have been fortunate”.
The Western Gospel Awards is designed to recognsie, appreciate, celebrate and honour creativity, and ingenuity in Gospel Music in the region.
