‘Help develop creative arts industry’
It has emerged that the neglect of the creative industry by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture over the years continues, with several complains from both the movie and music industries still going on unnoticed.
Several big names in the creative industry have expressed their displeasure with the government’s failure to invest in the industry, leaving them to fend for themselves.
Daniel Arthur alias Danny Arthurz, a digital artist, has waded into the raging debate on the government’s inability to recognise their immense contribution to the entertainment industry as a whole, especially when they help in putting Ghana’s art on the map.

‘I feel that artists have been snubbed in the creative Industry. They fail to recognise that art also forms part of the entertainment industry.
“It is very hard to find them investing or celebrating us out there and I believe the focus over the years has been on musicians and actors, with the art industry being either digital, painting or pencil facing neglect,” he noted in an interview with The Mirror.
Danny Arthurz, the Chief Executive Officer of Dace Art Studios, reiterated his desire to give back to society by working on a project to set up a school for young and talented artists.
He has done portrait pieces for former Presidents Jerry John Rawlings and John Agyekum Kufuor, and that of President Akufo-Addo.
