‘Ghana Stands In Worship’ concert coming

Bigger and better-planned  gospel music concerts are slowly gaining root  in this country and the upcoming Ghana Stands In Worship concert being organised by Imajin Ads aims to raise the bar even higher.

The concert which has been slated for Saturday, April 27 at the  Accra Sports Stadium, is expected to feature some of the giants of Christian worship music on the international scene as well as a strong entourage of  locally-based artistes for a rousing outpouring of faith to the Lord.

Billed to perform are Donnie McClurkin from the United States, the Nigerian-born but South Africa-based  Uche Agu and Mthunzi  Namba from South Africa.

Our very own Rev. Bernard Blessing, Cwesi Oteng, Rev. Eric Kwapong, No Tribe and Mary Ghansah will also be in action.

Kojo Soboh, Events and Promotions Manager at Imajin Ads said the event would be a uselful platform for Ghanaians to come out and pour their hearts out in worship  for God’s  gifts of  life, love and peace.

“ It’s going to be a powerful evening of uncommon worship experience; one that Ghana has never seen before. A safe and secured environment is assured for all patrons,” the Imajin Ads official added.

Imajin Ads organised the Legends and Legacy Ball (LAL) events in 2011 and 2012 that celebrated highlife greats Daddy Lumba and Amakye Dede respectively. It also organized the Stand Up GH concert that featured American R&B singer, Keri Hilson and rapper, Bow Wow last year.

The guest performers from abroad for the Ghana stands In Worship concert are all seasoned acts. Donnie McClurkin is a three-time Grammy Award winner in addition to numerous other achievements.

His Live In London and More as well as Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs and We Are All One: Live In Detroit albums sold well across the world.

Singer and preacher, Uche Agu made a big impact with his famous Double Double song. He is among a new breed of worship leaders that travel the world with inspiring music.

Mthumzi  Namba  is a pastor, singer, songwriter and music producer. He has been at the forefront of the introduction of contemporary gospel sounds in South Africa. A music degree holder, he is well-known in his native South Africa for songs like Cover Me,  Wena Kholwa, Mercy, Laduma Izulu and The One I Love.

“We are looking forward to a wonderful worship experience with all the artistes at this Imajin Ads first event for this year,” Kojo Soboh said.

Ghana Stands In Worship concert is sponsored by MTN with support from Unibank, Special Ice Mineral Water, Coca Cola and  Highgate Hotel.
