The award
The Forty under 40 Awards identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of the nation's most influential and accomplished young business leaders under 40 who have committed to business growth, professional excellence, and community service and have risen the ranks of their companies or industries.

The foundation, since its establishment, has also supported young women by distributing sanitary pads and offering them technical and vocational skills training.

"This award is not just mine but to everyone who has supported my journey and whose shoulder I stand on. I am a testament to what opportunities can do in the life of a young girl, and I am dedicated to empowering marginalised young people,” she said.
Advocacy
Ms Awuku also called on the public to include young people in decision-making spaces as they were capable and ready to learn and positively make an impact.
"We need the support of our governments and policymakers to create a conducive environment for women and youth inclusion.
It is time to realise that investing in women and youth is not just a moral obligation but also a smart economic decision.
