My brand is ‘clean’ – Adina
Songstress Adina Thembi Ndamse popularly known as Adina has described her brand and kind of songs as ‘clean’ in the Ghanaian music industry.
According to her, there are certain words she will not use her songs.
In an interview on Accra-based Hitz FM, Adina said: “I started out in a certain way which formed my brand pattern...there are certain things I will not put in my songs basically because of what I represent as a an artiste and where I’m trying to go.”

The ‘Killing Me Softly’ hit maker noted that she has other ways of conveying messages in her songs, saying, “Even if I’m talking about love, it has got a way that is peculiar to me. I don’t want to say words that will take me away.”
The 2018 VGMA Best Female Vocalist added that she wants to do music that she will not be shy to play to her children.
“I just keep it in certain way. At the end of the day, it should be a song my mum can listen to and I won’t be shy of it and I can play it to my children too."
Adina is of the view that “there are nice ways to go about writing songs" and that song composers could use words creatively without offending the sensitivity of their fans.
