Gospel musician Joseph Matthew readies for ‘Fear No Evil’ on July 26
With the release of his impressive live band performance of 'Blessed' with Abusua band, UK-based Ghanaian gospel singer Joseph Matthew is set to release a brand new single, 'Fear No Evil', on July 26, 2024.
This latest addition will join his notable collection of songs, which includes songs like 'Hallelujah', 'Nyame Ye', 'Not Alone', 'My Story', 'The Name', 'Blessed' and 'Promise Land'.
All these songs, including 'Fear No Evil', will be featured on his highly anticipated debut album, 'Solid Rock', scheduled for release in early 2025."
In a recent interview with Graphic Showbiz, Joseph Matthew revealed that his upcoming song, 'Fear No Evil', is a call to action, urging listeners to stand firm against evil and never surrender to its influence.
He emphasised, "In these challenging times, evil may seem prevalent, but I want to inspire people to remain steadfast and fearless, trusting that God is on their side when they choose to do good."
With his songs gaining some popularity in Ghana, Joseph was emboldened to host his maiden concert at the Perez Dome in 2022.
He mentioned to Graphic Showbiz that he identifies himself as an urban artiste but there is more to him.
His style is an infusion of what he says is neotonic Afrobeats, rap and contemporary Highlife.
Joseph said that there was no point in comparing artistes from Ghana to Nigeria because Ghana had proven itself worthy in the affairs of music in the sub-region.
“Ghana is like a state in Nigeria. Our population is less than 40 million compared to Nigeria with over 300 million people. So, with our numbers, our present influence and contribution to music, we are even doing well,” he said.
