Guinness World Record says Hilda’s cook-a-thon crashed their website
Guinness World Records has disclosed their website was crashed for two days following Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci’s cook-a-thon last Month.
It disclosed this in a statement while officially certifying Hilda as the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

It said the crash occurred on account of the immense volume of traffic received from Hilda’s mass of loyal fans who were bent on seeing her secure the new record title.
“Hilda’s cook-a-thon was in fact so popular that our website crashed for two days due to the immense volume of traffic we received from her legion of loyal fans,” it said.
Hosts of congratulatory messages flooded social media following the certification of Hilda Baci as the new record holder for the longest cookathon by Guinness World Record earlier today.
Guinness Record acknowledged 93 hours 11 minutes out of Hilda’s 100-hour attempt.
The record body said the subtracted seven hours was because “she mistakenly took extra minutes for one of her rest breaks early on in the attempt.”
“Following a thorough review of all the evidence, Guinness World Records can now confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes.

Hilda Baci is therefore now officially the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon.
This was confirmed on their official website on Tuesday (June 13, 2023).
The previous record of 87 hours 45 minutes was set by Lata Tondon (India) in 2019.
