Jada Pinkett announces memoir to address assumptions and falsehood about her
Popular American actress, Jada Pinkett has announced the release of her memoir in October today, June 29.
In an earlier interview published by PEOPLE online, Jada Pinkett disclosed that the writing process began in 2021 long before the rumours about her marriage to Will Smith, before the 2022 Oscars — and Jada says writing her book began with advice from above.

“It’s an adventure, a search for love and self-worth,” Jada Pinkett Smith tells PEOPLE of her forthcoming book and book tour.
"It was like divine advice,” she says with a laugh. “It was just like, the idea of being willing to take full responsibility for my story, through and through. And doing it with grace and love. For myself and for others.”
Jada Pinkett said she had many people encourage her to write a book.
“I had so many people encourage me to write a book,” she says. “But I was believing that my journey was not a worthy journey. But when I saw it on paper — I couldn’t help but look at myself and say, wow. What a life."
In a Facebook post, Jada Pinkett said the memoir will offer an unvarnished and revealing account from her challenging upbringing in Baltimore into a controversial life in Hollywood.
“It’s a harrowing ride of reclaiming my self-worth while unraveling unspoken truths” a part of the post reads.

Hers is the full post:
“On October 17th, I invite you into a journey that, understandably, many think they already know. The fact that I have, in the last four years contributed to the creation and perpetuation of falsehoods about myself, in which other untrue narratives were birthed, has surely aided in the misunderstandings that surround me.
This fall, with deep humility and respect, I will take back my narrative. My memoir starts at the beginning, offering an unvarnished and revealing account from my challenging upbringing in Baltimore into a controversial life in Hollywood. It’s a harrowing ride of reclaiming my self-worth while unraveling unspoken truths.
My adventures of my youth, meaningful friendships, marriage, motherhood, self-betrayal and self-reclamation are mere reflections of the adventures so many of us have taken in search of happiness.
My hope is that through the exploration of my own tumultuous situations to the rediscovery of deep love, that we are all reminded that no matter where we may be on our journey, we are all…Worthy. Reserve your copy now: http://ourworthyjourney.com
