Louis Vuitton & Virgil Abloh donate $380,000 to UNICEF Ghana
A member of the Ghanaian diaspora, Virgil Abloh and Louis Vuitton have extended their relationship with UNICEF, making a $380,000 donation to the organization’s work in Ghana.
The donation is the latest stage of their partnership, which has previously focused on the Silver Lockit bracelets that have reportedly raised $14 million for UNICEF.
Through the donation, Louis Vuitton and fashion designer Abloh will be participating in Generation Unlimited, UNICEF’s program focused on youth and entrepreneurship in Ghana.

Abloh will also lead a masterclass with 250 people covering entrepreneurship, creativity and becoming a changemaker in your community. The workshop will also be live-streamed on Facebook.
Announcing the donation in a statement to WWD, Louis Vuitton said, “A member of the Ghanaian diaspora, Virgil Abloh is devoted to making a personal contribution to help accelerate results for children and young people in Ghana. A key ambition is to inspire African youth to develop creative projects, which link African art and culture to the markets and create awareness of the Black canon.
