
Mawuli Semevo, a legend goes home today
The final burial rites of veteran actor, Mawuli Semevo will be held at the National Theatre today, April 5 at 9:00am.
On Thursday, March 27, the National Theatre of Ghana held a tribute event dubbed, “Remembering Mawuli Semevo” to honour the life and legacy of the renowned actor who passed on Thursday, February 20.
Mawuli Semevo, who retired as the director of Drama Company, one of the three resident performing groups of the National Theatre of Ghana sadly passed away in February at the Ridge Hospital due to injuries he suffered in a fire accident. Known for his exceptional acting skills, both on stage and in films, Semevo featured in several productions, including Harvest at 17, A Stab in the Dark, Escape of Love, Like Cotton Twines, and The Good Old Days: The Love of AA.
