Nima Excellence Awards to introduce new category in 2nd edition
The organizers of Nima Excellence Awards has introduced new categories for the forthcoming second edition of the community development award scheme.
The introduction was necessitated by the overwhelming interest expressed by various stakeholders of NIMA and its environs. The awards which started with eleven categories, has introduced four more categories to cater for four other sectors of the industry.
The new categories are Nima Diaspora Personality/ Group, Best JHS school, Emerging Brand and Personality of the Year.
Nima Diaspora Personality/ Group will take care of indigenes of the communities who are in abroad and excelling in their chosen career with investment in the said communities or any part of Ghana.
Best JHS School is to create competition among Junior High Schools in the catchment area. The selection of the best JHS will solely depend on the performance of a school during the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for the year in review. With regards to Business, the Emerging Brand is to handle initiatives which is gradually gaining acceptability and making positive impact in the communities.
Last but not the least, Personality of the Year is to award the topmost personality who has unmeasurable successes stories and has impacted a lot to the indigenes of the said communities and beyond.
The second edition of the award promises a lot of business networking, business promotion and profiling. Sponsors of this edition stand a huge chance of return on their investment due to the millage the event has created and high profile personalities who are yearning to win the coveted plaque.
It is not a secret that the said communities are centres of attraction of serious business in Ghana. Nima is known as a vibrant business hub, Mamobi can boast of huge forex market and Accra New Town on other hand is the centre of printing and stationeries hub, while Kanda and Ruga host the crème de la crème of Ghanaian business and political class.
