Artiste manager, Warro has stated that the lack of effective talent management has been a bane to the growth of the entertainment industry in Ghana.

“Too many artistes in the country are content to rely on friends and personal assistants as their managers to the detriment of their careers,” he stated.
Warro, who handles Kiki Marley observed that some artiste managers in the country refuse to be honest with their clients and go on to fill their heads with false promises.
He pointed out that the systems and lack of fundamental structures in the creative arts industry in Ghana is one of the reasons why only a few artistes make it while many fade away after a brief spell in the limelight.
“Artistes here are fighting an uphill battle due to lack of fundamental structures in the industry. We are in a country where artistes do not get royalties.
“For the musicians, there’s no way to monitor when and where their music is played and certain governing bodies are also not living up to expectation. However, there is still hope that things will change for the industry to thrive,” Warro stated.
