Pray to God to heal me- Moesha Boduong begs as she marks 35th birthday
ACTRESS and socialite Moesha Boduong, who has suffered a stroke, memory loss, speech impairment and paralysis among other health challenges in the past years, turns 35 on Monday, March 10. And she wishes for nothing more than prayers to fully recover as a birthday gift from her colleagues and fans.
As her special day approaches in few hours, she makes an emotional appeal to her colleagues and fans not to forget about her but to pray for her to be restored to full health.
In an interview with Graphic Showbiz on Monday, March 3, Moesha mentioned she has had to battle with many health problems, including paralysis, memory loss and speech impairment since she fell ill but was very confident in divine healing which will only happen with fervent prayers from loved ones.
“I couldn't even talk some time ago. But now, I'm gaining my speech back little by little. I also couldn't remember anything, but now I can.

“I'm currently on medication, which I can see is also improving my condition. I have regained my memory and at the moment, I can remember most of the things that I forgot about some time ago.
“My birthday is just around the corner and I have prayed to God, and my heartfelt wish is that He should heal me completely as my birthday present. However, I want my colleagues, fans and loved ones to join their voices together to petition God on my behalf.
“They should also tell God to give me back my health. I want the world to know that God can perform miracles. With my current condition, I can say that it’s a miracle. But for my birthday gift this year, He should be merciful and heal me completely. I miss my old self,” she said.

Moesha's curvaceous figure catapulted her to fame in the entertainment industry, largely due to her provocative social media presence and public appearances. However, all of that virtually vanished following a severe health crisis she has been battling with, including a stroke, which left her partially paralysed and affected her ability to communicate.
Prior to her health struggles, Moesha Boduong was a well-known actress, model and philanthropist. She rose to fame through films such as Amakye and Dede, Pool Party and John and John.
Beyond showbiz, she has been deeply involved in charity work. In 2018, she launched the Moesha Foundation, an initiative focused on supporting underprivileged children. She donated educational materials to schools, demonstrating her commitment to giving back to society.
Last year, a number of celebrities supported her brother, Ebito Boduong, to raise funds for her after she suffered a stroke.
The target of GoFundMe was to raise $10,000 for her medical bills. However, an amount of $5,158 was realised.
Celebrities, including Efya, Fella Makafui, Serwaa Amihere and Akuapem Poloo, called on Ghanaians to donate to the actress’ GoFundMe, which would go to pay for her medical expenses.
Moesha told Graphic Showbiz she was grateful for the support. “I want to thank everyone for the support. I really appreciate it, but the last thing I ask is, they should all pray for me,” she added.
